Choosing Excellent Entertainment

When I started thinking about different ways to entertain my friends and family for a big party I was going to throw, I realized that there were a few things that we needed to do in order to make the day really special. I was able to choose a really awesome band to provide the entertainment, and I was happy about what it would mean for my event. During the party, I was really impressed with how professional they were and how seriously they took our event. This blog is all about finding great entertainment and knowing how to create a great party for other people.

5 Family-Friendly Animal Activities For Summer

Even if school is taking a break for the summer, you can promote education at home. Whether you want to create your own educational units or you simply want to have some fun outside, animals often provide a great backdrop for fun and learning.

These activities will ensure that you get to have a great time no matter what you choose to do with the family.

1. Go to the Zoo

One favorite activity in the family might be taking a trip to the zoo. This trip can be a fun way to bring other activities together, to show your children the animals they have been reading books about or seeing on television. You can tell your children facts about the animals and ask them questions about what they are seeing.

2. Animal Exercises or Dance

One way to engage your children in physical activity might be to ask them how animals move. You can turn this into a way to get exercise or to dance. You might ask questions like, "How does an elephant walk?" or "How does a penguin say hello?" to mix things up.

3. Animal Fingerpainting

Painting can be a fun way to bring arts and wildlife together. You might decide to set up shop in the backyard or on a patio and paint the animals you see outside, or you might decide to paint something you've seen in a movie or documentary. You can also engage your child's creativity by asking them to paint an imaginary animal they've created.

4. Animal Bingo

Next time you go to the zoo or watch a movie, create bingo cards for the family. Everybody marks the animals they see. You can make the cards as specific as necessary for your child's needs. For instance, you can use animals as squares, or you might use clues like "an animal with four legs" or "an animal with a short tail."

5. Backyard Animal Crafts

Finally, you might consider building something for your friends outside to use. This could be a bird feeder, a bench for squirrels to sit, or a warm place for stray cats to sleep.

Summer Activities Keep Learning & Fun Close to Home

Animals can teach us a lot about so many things. If you want to teach your family about the many different types of animals, these activities help you foster understanding while keeping things fun and interesting.
